The Legacy Center’s Weight Room is undergoing an exciting transformation! It has seen better days, and is filled with outdated and worn equipment. Now, thanks to generous donations from The Middle River Sportsmen’s and the Middle River Community Club, the installation of a new entrance door with an enhanced lock system was completed and the stage has been set for a complete makeover.
The vision for the Weight Room's transformation is nothing short of ambitious. It entails a comprehensive overhaul, including a fresh coat of paint, a modernized ventilation system, new flooring, and state-of-the-art exercise equipment. The goal is to craft a fully equipped fitness center that caters to the diverse needs of the community.
The Weight Room is set to feature free weights, a professional multi- trainer, stationary bikes, treadmills, smart TVs, and an advanced audio system. This modern fitness facility aligns perfectly with the increasing awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and it will provide a convenient and secure space for residents of all ages in the Middle River area to pursue their fitness goals.
Heartfelt thanks are extended to the Hartz Foundation and the Dondelinger Foundation for their generous support. Their support is not just an investment in a building; it's an investment in the health and vitality of Middle River and its citizens for generations to come.
A $500 grant was also received from Red Lake Electric Trust, Inc. through their Operation Round Up funds. This added support will further enhance the well-being of our community.
