The Middle River Legion Auxiliary Unit 444 once again hosted a "Tree Lighting" event at the Legion Memorial Park on November 29. The beautifully decorated Memorial and Christmas tree added a bright and festive aura to downtown Middle River. Those joining in the lighting festivities began with the singing of Christmas Carols led by Mary Ann Lunsetter. Then with a countdown from the group, the beautiful lights sprang to life in the early darkness of the cool evening.

Special guest at the event was Miss Middle River Brooklyn Holmestad. Following the lighting, treats and cider were served with a bag raffle sponsored by the Living at Home organization.
