The oval ice track is ready for racing, and the 57th Annual Strathcona Cup will take place on Saturday, February 10th, with races starting at 11am. Racers are gauranteed to race, as the track has been flooded and has a thick layer of ice, all ready for competition.
Drivers can arrive to sign up and begin hot laps at 8am, with both concluding at 10am that morning. A driver’s meeting will be held at 10:30am and is mandatory. Trophies will be presented in the clubhouse, 30 minutes after the final race.
Spectators are welcome and admission is a free will offering. You can park along the track and watch from the comfort and warmth of your vehicle. Concessions are available, and they even offer track side delivery!
The race in Strathcona is part of the Central MN Pond Racing Series. CMPR has had to cancel the first two races of there season due to lack of ice. There is one race scheduled in this circuit, which will take place in Butterfield on February 3rd.
