The Greenbush-Middle River Drama Department one-act play cast proudly display their First Place Sub-section trophy after winning the Minnesota State High School League One-Act Play Contest held at Lake of the Woods High School. Warroad placed second and other participants included Lake of the Woods, Roseau, Stephen-Argyle, and Grygla/Goodridge.

They performed the play Conflict by Wade Bradford. This is a very amusing explanation of how we crave stories in which the protagonist experiences all kinds of hardship. “The judges really “got it”, shared Coach Kaitlyn Creviston. “They liked the stage “pictures”, use of levels, diction, comedic timing.... they also felt our kids took the time to learn about this specific style of comedy, which I was super happy about them noticing.”

The cast will take their show on the road on February 3 as they take their show to Bagley to compete in the Sectional competition.

Congratulations, Gator Thespians, and Good Luck!
