Judith Ann Gram was born on July 7, 1944 in Grand Forks, ND to Alva and Alice (Otterness) Montgomery. She was baptized in Page, ND and grew to womanhood in Newfolden, Mn, where she attended school.
Following school Judy was employed at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls where she worked for 14 years before the plant closed.
Judy was united in marriage to Gerald Gram on August 4, 1962 at Bethehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden and the two made their home in Middle River. They were blessed with 3 sons, Dean, David, and Darin. They divorced and remained special friends.
After the closing of the Artic Cat plant Judy went to work in Roseau at Polaris Industries for 24 ½ years from which she retired.
She continued to make her home in Middle River with her very special friend Ralph Timm. Ralph passed away in 2006 and in 2022 Judy entered LifeCare Greenbush Manor where she passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the age of 79.
Judy was a member of First Lutheran Church in Middle River and prior to her onset of Parkinson’s enjoyed riding her bike around town and dancing at the Legion. She also enjoyed riding a sno-cat, four wheeler, gardening, sewing baby quilts, embroidering different patches to sew together for her quilting, playing Skip-Bo with her friends, shaking dice with her kids and grandchildren, playing cards (Vegas Rummy), Bingo, putting together jig-saw puzzles, and having coffee with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Dean of Strathcona, MN, David (Candy) of Middle River, MN, Darin (Kim) of Alvarado, MN, Bill (Joan) Timm of Greenbush, MN; 6 grandchildren, Dana, Nick (Hilary), Ben, Amanda (Nickolas), Casey Gram, Mercedes Snare; 13 great grandchildren, with number 14 on the way; Sisters Arlene (Bob) of Grandburg, TX and Elizabeth (Dave) of Lecom, CA, Sister in Law Donna Wonser., along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Norm, Chuck, and Ronnie Wonser, and other aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life service was held at 2:00PM on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at First Lutheran Church in Middle River, MN with Guy Strandberg presiding. Special Music was provided by Rachael and Nathan Bukowski.
Friends and family gathered one hour prior to services for visitation and Fellowship followed services at the church.
Internment services will be held at a later date in the spring.
