The first Skipperpalooza all-school reunion was held in June of 2019. Following that very successful celebration, people were already talking about the “next” reunion. Well, that time has come!
Skipperpalooza #2 is coming up soon, scheduled for June 21, 22, 23. ALL STUDENTS who attended the Middle River School for any length of time, not only graduates, are invited to attend this “Blast from the Past.”
It will be the same type of reunion with group gatherings, music by alumni, band and choir practices/ performance, tours, a parade by the classes, class photos, silent auction, corn hole tourney, food vendors, street dance with music by “Eagle Creek,” and wrapping up with a Community Church Service. And lots and lots of laughter and memories. All this exciting action will be happening at the Middle River Legacy Center, the former Middle River School.
The official kick-off to the event is Friday, June 21 with registration at 5:00 PM, followed by a group gathering and music in the gymnasium. The Wheel Bar will be hosting a bar on the premises throughout the weekend.
If you were a Skipper from 1906 to 2018, this reunion is for you! YOU are a part of the history! Registration forms are available online on the Skipperpalooza Facebook site, or can be picked up at Border Bank, Young’s Store, or the City Office at the Legacy Center. They can also be obtained by sending an email request to [email protected]. The cost for attendance is $30 for pre-registration before June 14 or $40 at the door.
This will be another one of those “Remember when…..” celebrations. Don’t miss out – it’s Skipper Time again!
