Marshall County Central Senior Kaydence Augustine was named a Triple ‘A’ Award finalist at the Region 8 banquet held recently in Mahnomen.
The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award, or Triple ‘A’Award as it is commonly known, honors high school seniors throughout the state who have a 3.0 or higher- grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities. is awarded to one girl and one boy from Class A and AA in Minnesota. Each school is allowed to nominate one senior boy and one senior girl for this award.
All of the finalists from each region will be recognized at a banquet in March where the statewide winners will be announced. The finalists will also be acknowledged during an on-court ceremony during the Class AA Championship game at the Boys Basketball State Tournament. Along with the award, the four winners each receive a four-year $1,000 scholarship.
