This photo from the 1970s is the Middle River High School cheerleaders leading the band in preparation for the Homecoming Parade. Cheerleaders are Nadine Aune, Marcyn Nilson, Bonnie Ruud, Arlys Aune, and Diane Beito. The excitement is mounting as this year’s Skipperpalooza is scheduled for next weekend June 21, 22, & 23 at the Legacy Center. A large crowd is expected for the second Palooza event. A “Parade of Classes” is planned for 3:30 on Saturday, June 22 through downtown. Everyone is encouraged to come out and wave to our former students of the Middle River School. **NOTE: Food will be available for guests and the public at two locations: ## Lulu’s Bites will be set up in front of the Legacy and will serve from 10am through the dance on Saturday night and will open again at 10 a.m. Sunday morning. ## A pulled pork plate lunch will be sold out of the cafeteria from 5-7 on Friday and from 11-2 and 5-7 on Saturday.
