Brings Back Students and Memories

Skipperpalooza Brings Back Students and Memories

The Middle River Legacy Center A.K.A. Middle River School District #440, was the centralized location for friendship, frolic, food and a little bit of foolishnes as the second annual Skipperpalooza brought in several hundred people from near and far to celebrate memories of their days spent in the building they called home.

Group gatherings, visiting, corn hole, a parade, dancing, silent auction, and a whole lot of laughter was crammed into a 3-day weekend that managed to dodge the questionable weather that was predicted.

As hugs and smiles were shared throughout the weekend, it confirmed the famous quote from the Wizard of Oz.... “There’s No Place Like Home.”

A

u former teacher and coach, Jerry Snyder, joined in the fun as he donned a Skipper designed bandana to jump in a golf cart for the parade.
q The Middle River High School Class of 1974 is pictured as they prepare to travel downtown for the parade. They used the Skipperpalooza as an opportunity for a double dose of celebration as they also observed their 50th Class Reunion this year.
