My name is Katelyn Larson and I would like to introduce myself as your newest Roseau/Kittson County Dairy Princess! As I start my new role, here are some quick facts to get to know me: I am the daughter of John and Dawn Larson and live on our 5th generation grain farm near Gatzke, MN where my grandparents used to run their own dairy operation!
I am a junior at the University of Minnesota Crookston, where I am pursuing a degree in Agricultural Education and a minor in Animal Science. I stay busy at school by holding officer positions in the Dairy Club, Animal Science Association, and U of M Crookston Farm Bureau Club.
I showed dairy cattle through Roseau County 4-H for 8 years, attending the Minnesota State Fair 5 times in the Dairy project. I have also shown at UMC's Ag Arama contest, while also helping halter break the new heifers. I have been a 4-H summer intern with Roseau County 4-H for the past two summers and love teaching youth about agriculture.
I am very excited to step into this role and be an advocate for our local producers and the entire dairy industry! Be on the lookout for me at the Kittson and Roseau County Fairs, I can not wait to meet everyone!
