Five Contestants Compete for the Title to Represent Middle River

Kailey Hanson

Kailey is the daughter of Jordan Hanson and Ashley Hanson and will be a junior at GMR High School. She currently works with Lifecare at the Greenbush Manor as a Dietary Aid. Her talent for the pageant will be a vocal solo. Her future plans are to attend Northland Community & Technical College to become an entrepreneur someday. Her chosen social platform is “Less phone usage and screen time.” Her sponsor is Hanson’s Trophies & Engraving.

Tessa Hoglo

Tessa is the daughter of Sara and Troy Hoglo and will attend Northland Community College this fall. She is employed at Oakland Park Nursing Home.Her talent for the pageant is a vocal solo. Her future plans are to attend Northland Community & Technical College to receive her nursing degree. Her chosen social platform is “The importance of good mental health in health care workers.” Her sponsor is Underdahl Hardware Hank.

Kaitlyn Helmeke

Kaitlyn is the daughter of Joni Ryan and will be a senior at Marshall County Central. Her talent for the pageant revolves around her love for art as she creates a live painting on stage. After being a teacher’s assistant for three teachers, her future goals are to attend college and obtain her degree to become a teacher or childcare worker. Her chosen social platform is “Teen Mental Health.” Her sponsor is Young’s General Store.

Kaydence Augustine

Kaydence is the daughter of Mark & Miki Augustine and will be attending Northland Community & Technical College in the fall. She will continue her education at University of MN Crookston to attain her degree in Elementary and Preschool Education and coaching with a minor in music. Her talent for the pageant is a vocal solo. Her chosen social platform is “Giving Back to the Elderly.” Her sponsor is Waterworth’s Woodshop.

Emily Waterworth

Emily is the daughter of David & Teri Waterworth and will be a junior at Marshall County Central. Since her family raises and breeds puppies of all kinds, her future plans are to one day become a veterinarian. She plans to attend UMC after high school, then on to the Twin Cities to finish school. Her talent for the pageant is a Self-Written letter to herself. Her chosen social platform is “The Importance of Pet and Veterinary Care.” Her sponsor is PupsWorth Family.
