Weight Room Update: A Beautiful Gift to the Residents of Middle River
The residents of Middle River have received a truly beautiful gift with the recent updates to our community weight room. This project would not have been possible without the generous support of several key organizations, including the Hartz Foundation, Beito Foundation, Dondelinger, and Red Lake Electric Trust. Without these funds, this dream would not have been realized.
Laurie Stromsodt was instrumental in securing the funds needed for these updates. She comments, “A special thank you goes to Luke from Northwest Electric for running the electrical work, and to Blair Lund and his son for painting. Your efforts have greatly enhanced our facility. I would also like to extend a thank you to Teresa Anderson. If it weren’t for you introducing me to your son and working closely with me every step of the way—always updating and supporting me—this project might not have come to light. I’m deeply grateful to the Legacy Committee as well, for allowing this project to move forward and for being involved every step of the way. The Weight Room Committee—Eric, O’Brien, Deb Zak, and Verna—thank you all for your dedication and hard work. Your efforts have been invaluable. A big thank you also goes to the City of Middle River for your continued support.”
The equipment came from Johnson Commercial Fitness. Marcos (Teresa’s Son) and his girlfriend, Ranju, spent countless hours assembling the equipment. Our community is truly blessed by this heartfelt gift of equipment! Paint and Glass Interiors donated all of the paint for the weight room, thank you.
The community of Middle River is always giving—we see that in every event, and we give from the heart. The second phase of the project will add mirrors, fans, and more equipment, followed by the third phase which will be refinishing the gym floor.
Thank you again to everyone who contributed to this incredible community effort.
