Our Communities Celebrate Veterans Day 2024

Our Communities Celebrate Veterans Day 2024
Carol Tillberg of Badger honors local veterans each year and inducts them into the Carol Tillberg’s Roll Call. The selected veterans’ names are added to a plaque which is displayed at the Badger Community Center. This year the veterans selected were Joe Burian, Curt Hukee, Bob Glen, David Frislie, and Gil Ruggenbuck. Pictured are Joe, Curt, Franklin Frislie on behalf of the late David Frislie, and Carol Tillberg. The picture on the table is the late Gil Ruggenbuck.

Bob Glen was selected as one of the names added to Carol Tillberg’s Roll Call. He is pictured with Carol at the Badger Veterans Day service, holding a shadow box containing some of the memorabilia from his tour in Vietnam, which include a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. Morris Vacura read Bob’s biography for those in attendance to learn more about Bob’s sacrifice for his country during his enlistment in the U.S.Army.

Middle River American Legion Commander Jack Beito, Karen Beito, Speaker Dave Baker, Chaplain Howard Lunsetter, MaryAnn Lunsetter, Auxiliary President Pat Hanson and her guest Gloria Sistad at the Veterans Day supper in Middle River.
