What’s Happening at the Middle River LAH/BNP?

The Middle River LAH/ BNP has some excitement in the upcoming month beginning with a Pie Social on Monday, December 9th at 2 pm at the Living at Home Office. No need to bring a pie - they will be furnished.

The LAH program is excited to introduce an exercise program which will be held at the Royal Manor beginning on Monday, December 2, at 10 am. The name of the video used is “Sit and Be Fit” with Mary Ann Wilson, RN, leading the exercise class with the video. The classes will continue to be held every Monday and Thursday at 10 am. Everyone is welcome.

The next outing for the local group will be Tuesday, December 10 when they will travel to Oakland Park in Thief River Falls to visit friends. If you are interested in joining the group for this visit, call Cindy or Arline at 218-222-4466.

The mission of the Middle River/Thief Lake Living at Home program is to provide services to our seniors so that they may live independently and safely in the surroundings of their homes. Some of the services that we provide are: delivery of Meals on Wheels; transportation for medical, errands and shopping; socializing in person or by telephone; and also joining our History and Hot Dish sessions and other activities.

Being a non-profit organization, volunteers are the heart of Living at Home. We depend on the generosity of our community, businesses, organizations and grants. Besides monetary donations, volunteer drivers, office helpers, volunteers to assist with events (either setting up, cleaning up or cooking/baking) are also needed. Donations of items that could be used to help us run our office on a day to day basis are also welcomed.
