AT THE MIDDLE RIVER LEGACY CENTER

Calling all Local Artists!!

March 11-April 30 REGISTER NOW!

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC) serves Polk, Pennington, Marshall, Kittson, Red Lake, Norman and Roseau counties in northwestern Minnesota.

Arts Councils were established in 1976 as a vehicle to distribute funds and provide direct services for arts activities. With region-wide membership of professional artists, arts educators, volunteers with community arts organizations, and arts enthusiasts, the Council encourages all the arts. Each spring an art show is held in an area town. This year’s show will be held at The Legacy Center in Middle River, March 11-April 30. A total of $2300.00 will be awarded. Adult (over 18) awards will be for 1st Place $500.00; 2nd Place $300.00; 3rd Place $200.00, and five merit awards of $100.00 each. Student (1418 years old) awards will be 1st Place $300.00; 2nd Place $150.00; 3rd Place $100.00, and five merit awards of $50.00 each. Or, request a paper copy by calling their office at 218.745.8886, or email Mara Hanel at [email protected] OR pick up a registration form at Young’s Store in Middle River. Advanced registration is required as labels need to be made correctly. Do not wait for acceptance into the show. Just register! How fun to have a big art show in our hometown and at the ol’ school!

Adult pieces should be delivered directly to the Legacy Center. Bring art between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM on March 6 and 7, or the morning of March 8. Call 218-745-8886 if you need other arrangements. Students can enter through their art teacher or do so directly. Stay tuned for more details. There will be an artist reception and awards ceremony for all on April 30 at the Middle River Legacy Center. You will pick up your art after the reception.

Gallery hours are when the city office staff is in the building between 8:30-4:30 weekdays and open during events at the Legacy Center. Extra gallery times will be announced on the NWMAC website and social media soon.
