Select MCC band students, (pictured left to right) Maci Gast, Jorja Love, Brooke Bjorgaard, Katie Bjorgaard, participated in the Minnesota Band Directors Association honor band festival on Saturday, January 11th. These bands are composed of students from over 35 regional schools. Students are nominated by their directors, and then selected by the MBDA board of directors. This year, MCC had four students selected. Katie Bjoraard and Maci Gast were selected to the 7-8 honor band, and Brooke Bjorgaard and Jorja Love were selected to the 9-10 band. Students had to prepare all the music beforehand, and only had 5 hours of rehearsal before they presented a concert in the evening. All the students worked hard and represented their school well!
