The MCC Freeze Drone team is hosting a meet on Saturday, February 22 in the new gym at Marshall County Central. Competition will begin at 9am and run until about 2pm. Spectators are welcome to come and watch the competition, concessions will be available for purchase. Those attending from the public are asked to park in the East lot and enter through door 3.
Teams competing include Goodridge, Grygla, Win-E-Mac, and MCC. The MCC Education Foundation, along with a grant from Thrivent, will be providing meals for the competitors.
The MCC Freeze Drone and Robotics teams are holding a raffle drawing for a Quadcopter Drone. Tickets for the raffle are $5 and proceeds will go to the to help pay for trips to upcoming tournaments.
Come and cheer on the MCC Drone Teams on February 22nd. Both teams have won awards at recent competions, including at the Northland Aerospace Aerial Drone Competition team 5450Z received the Teamwork Mission Champion & Judges Award, team 5450Z received the Teamwork Mission Champion & All-Around Champion at the LHS Aerial Drone Competition, and at the Grygla Aerial Drone Competition team 5450Z received the Coding Award & team 5450Y received the Skills Missions Champion. Team 5450Z has received and accepted an invitation to the 2025 North Central Aerial Drone Championship Ingenuity in Flint, Michigan on May 19th, 2025.
