Middle River Ambulance

AMBULANCE SERVICE IS PRIDE OF COMMUNITY Recent establishment of ambulance service for Middle River and surrounding area has been recognized as a notable achievement. Pictured are the garage obtained through community contributions of cash and labor and the ambulance stationed by Tri-County Emergency Medical Services. The Middle River Rescue Unit is in charge of operations. (This was Middle River’s first ambulance in front of the new garage in 1981.)

Sporting a new piece of equipment at this year’s Strathcona Races was the Middle River Tri-County Ambulance. The past year the Middle River Jaycees donated a mobile sled that pulls behind a snowmobile to help in winter rescues. This sled is available to all the Tri-County Ambulance services in the area. Shown here are Middle River EMTs Kelly Gillund and Tammy Blazek. From the archives of the Middle River Record
