The committee of the Miss Middle River Scholarship Organization is currently planning the 2023 pageant for August 5. The participants must be going into 11th or 12th grade or high school graduate, must live within 20 miles of Middle River or have parents that are members of the Middle River Community Club.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for young ladies to challenge themselves to improve life-long skills of communication, stage presentation, interview skills, and confidence-building with the possibility of earning scholarships for post-secondary education. They will learn things about themselves and their possibilities that they did not know before!
We will work with each young lady to prepare her for this event and do everything we can to make this a positive and fun experience. We know there are many questions so we will be holding an informational meeting on July 9 at St. Joseph’s Church on Highway 32 in Middle River at 7 p.m. At this time, we are simply asking the public to encourage any possible young lady you may know to take part in this learning and growing experience.
The date of the pageant is Saturday, August 5 in order to stay away from school conflicts and we will work around any other conflicts they may have – we know these young ladies are busy!
