In last week’s Honker, we had the privelege to announce that Trails To Treatments had awarded grants totalling over $1,000,000. The committee works extremely hard to fulfill their misson of “assisting those in need of funding during their treatment of cancer. . . and believe most people are not fully prepared for the out-of-pocket expenses cancer treatment requires. Our volunteers are dedicated to the long-term success of this grant program through ongoing donations and fund raising efforts.”
TTT began awarding $300 to grant recipients in 2011. As of January 1st, 2023, grants increased to $1000 due to the amazing fundraising by TTT Teams, sponsorships and individual donations.
Teams joined the fundraising effort in 2015 and in 2018 the teams began a sometimes fierce competition to win a traveling trophy awarded to the Top Dollar Team.
Teams past and present that have helped to raise money for Trails to Treatments Grant program will be recognized during the 15th Annual TTT Cancer Benefit on Saturday, August 12th.
