My grandma Dorreta Hesse works at Digi-Key. Dorreta is very special because she always sees the best in people. It doesn’t matter their past, she will always help them. She also cheers me on in sports. Even if we are losing, she will always make up a funny chant to make our team feel better. She has also taught me to care about the people around me, even if we don’t like each other.

She also is always smiling.

She has always made others smile just by talking to her.

I love to bake with her. We always make desserts. When we do, the kitchen is always a mess. When we bake, we always end up with flour or frosting on our faces. When we clean up our mess, I think about how much fun I had while baking. I also love when we scrapbook together. We scrap book for me and my brother’s graduation. I love the fact we get to look at old memories together. Her dog likes to run through all the paper scraps and get them all over the house.

When I’m sad, she will always make me my favorite food and sit by me, and we watch T.V. under a fuzzy blanket. When I’m angry with someone, she will always give me advice on how to solve the situation. She has taught me to never be mad at someone for the small things, and to think about it their way. I help her do the dishes. When we do them, we always end up getting wet, and we talk about problems and stuff while doing them.

Grandma is such a hard worker. She never complains when something goes wrong. She always sees the best in every situation. When we go to the fair, she always tries her hardest to make me and my brother happy. When I spend even a little time with her my day is better.
