The three young ladies responsible for a lot of extra duties for the City of Middle River this summer included Layci Olson, Emma Nelson, and BrookLynn Holmestad. Layci (left) also worked for the city last summer and returned this summer to mainly take over the mowing duties. She will be attending Northland Community College this fall with a major in either Interior Design or Auto Body. Emma (center) will be a junior at MCC this fall and she said her least favorite duty was hauling branches to the lagoon, making her arms like jello the next day! However, she said her favorite part was the people that she worked with. Her boss and co-workers made the job way more enjoyable. And she also learned how to back up a trailer, thanks to BrookLynn! BrookLynn (right) will also be a junior at MCC this fall and said her least favorite duty was also hauling trimmed branches and her favorite was either painting curbs or cleaning the gym. She learned that not all jobs are bad and that Emma made it more enjoyable and Mardy is very considerate and nice. Thank you, ladies, for your dedication to Middle River!
