Six Inducted to MCC National Honor Society
On Wednesday, November 8th, the MCC chapter of the National Honor Society inducted six new members: Halle Baldwin, Emma Nelson, Reagan Mimnaugh, Grady Hockstedler, Nick Lund, and Everett Nelson. Selection into the National Honor Society begins with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Students who meet the academic eligibility are given an application to help exemplify the other three pillars of NHS: character, service, and leadership. Upon completion of the applications, a faculty committee reviews the applications to determine if all four pillars of NHS are properly met, and then admission is granted to those applicants. 2023-11-17 11:00 PM

Minnesota Counties District 3 Holds Fall Meeting at Middle River Legacy Center
At the spring meeting of the Minnesota Counties District 3 meeting in Ada, it was announced that the fall meeting would be in Marshall County. The counties in the district consist of Marshall, Kittson, Roseau, Mahnomen, Pennington, Norman, Polk and Red Lake with a rotation each spring and fall. The Legacy Center in Middle River was suggested by County Commissioner Sharon Bring, thinking the new endeavor would be of interest to them as many counties have had to deal with a closed school building or two in their counties. 2023-11-03 11:00 PM
